Alasdair Cochrane (born 1978) is a British political theorist and ethicist based at the University of Sheffield. He is the author of ''An Introduction to Animals and Political Theory'' (2010) and ''Animal Rights Without Liberation'' (2012). In 2011 he became a founding member of the Centre for Animals and Social Justice. ==Education== Cochrane received a first-class honours degree in politics in 2000 from the University of Sheffield.
